Purpose of the Outreach Program

The Karatina University Library Community Outreach Program aims to:

• Provide access to quality knowledge resources for community users

Outreach Team

Community outreach is powered by a dedicated team of library staff working alongside members of the Knowledge Ambassadors Club. This is a group of enthusiastic student volunteers committed to promoting academic excellence and information literacy within and beyond the University.

Knowledge Ambassadors receive training in areas such as digital literacy, research support, and academic integrity. Equipped with these skills, they actively:

• Mentor peers in research and academic writing
• Promote ethical information use and copyright awareness
• Participate in community literacy and digital training sessions
• Enhance information literacy skills among fellow students
• Advocate for and market library services across the University
