Dr. Everlyn Anduvare

Dr. Anduvare is currently the Deputy University Librarian and Head of Library Services at Karatina University. She is also attached to the School of Pure and Applied Sciences as an Adjunct Lecturer where she lectures Information Literacy Skills to undergraduate students. She has worked at different levels as a Librarian for about fifteen years. She is passionate about information searching, retrieval, and dissemination. She is keen on current and emerging technologies and how they shape education, research, and service delivery in libraries.

Her educational background includes a Ph.D. in Information Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The focus area was eResearch, in particular looking at the role of libraries in supporting researchers to adopt the use of technologies in the entire research lifecycle. This included scholarly communications; She also has a Master’s in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria; MA in Information Science (Knowledge Management) from the University of South Africa (UNISA); BA Hons (Information Science), and BTech (Information Science) from UNISA.

Areas of interest: Information and Knowledge Management; Information Ethics; Information and Digital Literacy; and Research Data Management.
